this week’s all about one of my favourite things: surf.

i know—the water in porto is cold. but with a wetsuit, it’s honestly the best way to enjoy the ocean all year round.

and if you didn’t know, autumn (and spring) are actually the best seasons to surf in matosinhos.

want to try surfing but never quite got around to it? surfing is seriously meditative—a chance to connect with nature and with yourself too.

surfitbox is one of the best surf schools in matosinhos. they offer classes for all levels and ages—and more importantly, they care about making surf accessible to everyone. this saturday, as part of norte surf fest, they’re hosting free adaptive surf classes from 2pm to 5pm.
